video portraits

Welcome to this growing collection of 8 minute video portraits of people I'm privileged to call friends. These are part celebration and part modern-day daguerreotype, where (in the 1850s) people were asked to sit still from between 3-15 minutes while their portraits were taken. Beneath these fragments of life-story lie the complex dimensions of remarkable (yet unfamous) people. It's never comfortable seeing yourself or sharing the vissititudes of life, its pitfalls and treadmills, so I'm grateful to everyone who has participated in what, collectively, are but loving glimpses of our shared humanity.
