Welcome to this growing collection of 8 minute video portraits. Part celebration and part modern-day daguerreotype, where (in the 1850s) people were asked to sit still from between 3-15 minutes while their portraits were taken. Beneath these fragments of life-story lie the complex dimensions of remarkable (unfamous) people. It's never comfortable seeing yourself or sharing the vissititudes of life and its treadmills, so I'm grateful to everyone who has participated in what, collectively, are but loving glimpses into our shared humanity. These 8 minute video portraits are part celebration and part modern-day daguerreotype
