In almost every place I make my camp
In almost every place I make my camp,
in sand, or forest, scrub or mountain range
I feel my presence leaves a lasting stamp:
and in return, I undergo a change.
Between us we create an atmosphere.
I mediate the fruits of human mind,
and in my native home-land try to share
and test the truth of all the thoughts that bind
the mind of man to his environment.
Just as sweet music heard in company
reflects within the hearers, what is lent
by intuition makes a harmony.
So settings, add, transmute, or take away,
and act their parts in any human play.
